How to Use XML Sitemap Generator
- Paste your URLs. Add one full page URL per line. Lines that are not http or https links are skipped.
- Choose changefreq and priority. Set how often pages change and how important they are, applied to every URL.
- Set the last modified date. Use today, or enter your own date for the lastmod field.
- Review the XML. Check the valid and skipped counts and read the generated sitemap.
- Save and submit. Save the output as sitemap.xml, upload it, and submit it in your search console.

What is an XML sitemap?
It is a file that lists the URLs on your site so search engines can find and crawl them more easily.
How many URLs can it hold?
A single sitemap supports up to 50,000 URLs. For larger sites, split them and use a sitemap index.
What do changefreq and priority do?
They hint how often a page changes and how important it is relative to your other pages. They are hints, not commands.
Where do I put the sitemap?
Upload it to your site, often at the root, then submit its URL in your search console and reference it in robots.txt.
Why were some lines skipped?
Only absolute http and https URLs are included. Blank lines and other text are skipped, and the count is shown.
Is my data sent anywhere?
No. The sitemap is generated in your browser, so your URLs are never uploaded.
