Frequently Asked Questions
What does grouping do?
It collapses identical items into a single entry and counts how many times each one appeared, turning a long list into a tidy tally.
How can I sort the groups?
By most frequent first, least frequent first, or alphabetically by the item text, whichever makes the result easiest to read.
What are the two formats?
One shows the count before the item, like “3 x apple”, and the other shows it after, like “apple (3)”. Pick whichever fits where you are pasting the result.
Are items matched exactly?
Yes. Items must match character for character to be grouped, so “Apple” and “apple” count as different unless you make them consistent first.
Is my list uploaded?
No. The grouping runs in your browser and your list never leaves the tab.
