How to Use Twitter Card Validator
- Paste your tags. Drop in the head HTML or just the twitter: meta tags you want to validate.
- Select Validate. The tool checks the card type, required tags, image, handles, and lengths against the documented rules.
- Read the report. Each line shows a pass, a warning, or an error, with a short note on how to fix it.

Which tags are required?
Every card needs twitter:card. Summary and large image cards need a title, description, and image. Player cards also need player width and height.
Why do I get a card is missing error?
The twitter:card tag is absent or empty. Add one with a value such as summary_large_image or summary and validate again.
Does X still support cards?
Yes. X reads Twitter Card tags and falls back to Open Graph tags when a Twitter tag is missing, which this tool accounts for.
How is this different from the generator?
The generator builds new tags from a form. The validator checks tags you already have and reports what is wrong.
Is my data sent anywhere?
No. The validation runs entirely in your browser, so the tags you paste are never uploaded.
