Frequently Asked Questions

What is the glue?

The glue is the text placed between each line, for example a comma and a space to turn a list into “a, b, c”. You can type anything you like, including a tab or a custom symbol.

Can I skip blank lines?

Yes. Leave Skip empty lines ticked and any blank lines are ignored, so you do not get stray separators in the output.

What if I want no glue at all?

Clear the glue field and the lines are joined directly with nothing between them.

Does it split on commas inside a line?

No. Only line breaks separate the items, so commas, spaces, and other characters inside a line are kept as they are.

Is my text uploaded?

No. The join runs in your browser and your text never leaves the tab.
