How to Use Find List Items Online
- Paste your list. One item per line.
- Type your search text. Items that contain it are kept. Tick Match case if capitalisation should matter.
- Find them. Only the matching items remain, in their original order, with a count of the matches.
- Copy the result. Click Copy result. It all runs in your browser.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the search match whole items or parts?
Parts. An item is kept if your search text appears anywhere inside it, so searching for “ber” keeps both “blueberry” and “raspberry”.
Is the search case-sensitive?
By default no, so “Apple” and “apple” both match a search for “apple”. Tick Match case to make capitalisation count.
Does it keep the original order?
Yes. The matching items stay in the order they appeared in your list.
What if nothing matches?
The result is empty and the count shows zero matches, so you know the search text was not found.
Is my list uploaded?
No. The search runs in your browser and your list never leaves the tab.
