How to Use Open Graph Generator
- Pick a preset or set the type. Start from Article, Product, Website, or Profile to fill a sensible example, or choose your own og:type.
- Write the title and description. The length meters turn green, amber, or red so you keep them inside the sizes that platforms show in full.
- Add the URL, image, and site name. A 1200 by 630 image renders best. The card preview updates as you type.
- Check the Facebook and LinkedIn preview. Switch tabs to see how each platform lays out the card, and watch the score for anything missing.
- Copy the tags into your head. Paste the generated Open Graph block into the head of your page and publish.

What are Open Graph tags?

Where do I put these tags?

What image size works best?
Use an absolute URL to an image that is 1200 by 630 pixels. Smaller images may show as a small thumbnail instead of a large card.
Do I still need Twitter Card tags?
X can fall back to Open Graph tags, but a dedicated set gives you more control. You can build those with our Twitter Card generator.
