How to Use SRT Subtitle Shifter Online
- Paste your SRT subtitles. Include the numbered blocks with their timestamps.
- Enter the shift in seconds. Use a positive number to delay and a negative number to move earlier; decimals are fine.
- Shift it. Every start and end timestamp moves by the same amount, keeping the file valid.

What is an SRT file?
It is a common subtitle format made of numbered blocks, each with a start and end timestamp and a line of text. This tool moves those timestamps.
Can I move subtitles earlier?
Yes. Enter a negative shift, such as -1.5, to move every subtitle earlier by that many seconds.
Does it support fractions of a second?
Yes. Decimals are allowed, so a shift of 0.25 moves everything a quarter of a second.
What if a timestamp would go below zero?
It is clamped to zero, so the file stays valid even if a large negative shift would push the first subtitle past the start.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The shifting runs in your browser and your subtitles never leave the tab.
