Scientific Calculator - Trig, Logs, Powers
Free scientific calculator. Trig, logarithms, powers, roots, factorials, pi and e, with degrees or radians. Works in your browser, private and offline.
A full scientific calculator with trigonometry, logarithms, powers, roots, factorials and constants. Type directly or tap the keys, and switch between degrees and radians. Runs entirely in your browser.
How to Use Scientific Calculator - Trig, Logs, Powers
- Build your expression. Tap the keys or type directly in the box, for example sin(30) + 2^3.
- Choose degrees or radians. Use the DEG and RAD toggle so trigonometry uses the angle unit you want.
- Watch the live result. The answer updates under your expression as you type.
- Use functions and constants. The left keys cover roots, logs, powers, factorials, pi and e.
- Press equals. The equals key locks in the result so you can keep calculating from it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does it use degrees or radians?
Both. The DEG and RAD button switches the mode, and trigonometric functions such as sine and cosine use whichever you choose. The button shows the current mode.
How do I enter powers and roots?
Use the x^y key or the caret symbol for powers, the x squared key for squares, and the square or cube root keys. For example, 2^10 is 1024 and the root of 16 is 4.
What order of operations does it follow?
Standard math rules. Powers are applied before multiplication and division, which come before addition and subtraction, and parentheses override the order.
Can I multiply without a sign?
Yes. Writing 2pi or 2(3+1) is treated as multiplication, so you get about 6.283 and 8. You can still use the multiply key if you prefer.
What does it show for an invalid entry?
If an expression cannot be evaluated, such as the square root of a negative number or an unmatched bracket, it shows a short message instead of a wrong answer.
Is my input sent anywhere?
No. The calculator runs entirely in your browser, so nothing you type is uploaded, and it keeps working offline once loaded.
