How is the difference between two dates calculated?
The calculator counts the full years, then months, then days between the two dates, and also adds up the whole span in single units like total days.
Does the order of the dates matter?
No. If you put the later date first, the calculator still gives the correct positive difference.
What does “include the end day” do?
By default the count is the gap between the dates. Ticking the box adds one day so the final day is counted too, which is useful for stays, rentals and holidays.
What are business days?
Business days are weekdays from Monday to Friday. The calculator counts them between your dates, ignoring Saturdays and Sundays. It does not account for public holidays.
Does it handle leap years?
Yes. It uses real calendar dates, so leap years and different month lengths are counted correctly.
